Voice Chat Problems

Tried everything from restarting the game & console to checking the audio settings on the console itself. Checking the audio in the game audio / voice chat. That there lies the problem. I don't want to have it set to party chat. Want it set to Squad which it was on before. Now its set to Party chat and It wont switch back to Squad because Party is grey solid,  even after I pressed Restore Default it stays the same and wont switch from Party at all. I'm on PS5 btw. I don't even know what caused this to begin with in the first place. Is there a way to fix this? I know there was a recent update like last week for the game.

    I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Going to check it when I get home to see if that help

    Always used voice chat with no problem, after last update voice chat no longer works properly. Most players I play with having same problem all on different platforms. Who else is having this problem? 

    If enough players report this EA might actually fix it. Always a problem of some sort after every update. Fix one thing break another

    I play on PC and my wife on console and after the last update the voice chat is so laggy….you really can’t hear anything they say while the rest of the sound in game stays the same! 

    anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this??

    Only EA can fix this, its something to do with the latest update as usual.

    Its definitely not the headset of settings as all other games work fine.

    Why change something that was working fine?????

    Before the recent update I had often the issue of my MIC not working. I know it is a bf2042 issue since when I speak, I can’t see in screen that I’m speaking, but when I leave game chat and start an Xbox Party, I do see when I speak in the screen. A game restart mostly fixes it. I play on Xbox Series X, mostly with a friend who plays on PC, it took him many, many tries, restarts and setting changes before voice chat mostly works.

    But now after the recent update from last week, we hear each other mumbling, for like half of the time the chat get interrupted/vanished. Very, very, very annoying. Resetting things, restarting the game or console/PC or checking for updates, nothing seems to work.

    EA, please fix this!!
