Summarize your bug Receive a "GPU HANG" error, game freezes and crashes. Also, sometimes a white light appears on the screen followed with black artifacts, and if you look away, sometimes you can "get out of the white zone" but if you don't, it takes over your whole screen. I can verify the game files constantly from Steam, and it always says "three files failed to validate and were reacquired" - these three files show to be a total of 24.9MB.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure. There's a few posts about it on reddit and some game forums.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game is unplayable. You have to ALT+TAB or WINDOWS key out of the game and return, to fix it, but it will come back.
What should be happening instead? None of the graphics hang error or none of the white zone errors should be happening.
-GPU hang error, game crashes, forced restart. Error reads "Direct X funcion "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands"). GPU: "AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT", Driver: 23.10.2 (23.20.17.03-231016a-396906C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition). This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.
THE LATEST DRIVERS ARE INSTALLED.
-White zone bug, white light appears on screen, you can try to look away and outrun it but it takes over your screen with black artifacts. makes the game unplayable.
Got some more info. I turned down the Post Processing settings, Lighting Settings, and high fidelity objects amounts all to LOW and didn't have any issues. Bumped them all to MEDIUM and still didn't have any issues. They were all on high/ultra when I was having the issues so it seems there could be something going on with those settings. So far, since changing those settings down, I haven't had any graphical issues. What a trip.
PROBLEM SOLVED (HOPEFULLY?!?!??-FOR NOW!)
