Why do I get Easy Anti Cheat Policy Violated - Player Removed From Game?

For me the performance issues are completely resolved.  Now this:

    FYI i figured out how to fix it, verify your game files. i had 22 files fail to validate and redownload and now i dont have the issue.

Have you tried verifying steam game files, is steam overlay turned off?

I see an error in your directx above = 

MultiVersus-Win64-Shipping.exe

Maybe google that error for more information?

oh and I haven't switched off the steam overlay. But I don't want to. I know this is a new issue because I've been playing almost every day since the game launch and I've never seen the anti-cheat message until this new patch.
