Summarize your bug XBOX controller does not work if other USB devices are connected to the PC
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Connect multiple USB devices (preferably SAITEK FLIGHT JOYSTICK) as well as a XBOX controller to the PC, the XBOX controller will not be usable in-game
What happens when the bug occurs? I cannot use my XBOX controller which I use for vehicles in BF
What should be happening instead? The XBOX controller should be working fine even though I have other USB devices connected to the PC
I have multiple USB peripherals connected to my PC (3 Joysticks) as well as a XBOX Controller. I would like to use my XBOX controller for vehicles but BF2042 does not recognize/accept any XBOX controller inputs while my other 3 Joysticks are connected. If I disconnect my 3 Joysticks it will work, but crawling below my desk everytime I want to play BF is not satisfying. Disabling the devices in the device manager as written in other articles before launching the game does not work.
Also, when connecting or disconnecting my XBOX controller in-game it will freeze and crash to desktop without any error.
For everyone having issues with their Xbox elite controller series 2 check your Bluetooth and remove HID - compliant game controller and remove it from the computer and restart the game. that worked for me another note is that if you shutdown or restart the PC you going to have to remove it again.
Not connected via bluetooth, but I am using the xbox dongle and a series x controller and removing the HID game controller worked for me.
