Sorry, I wish I did! I try to finish the weekly piggybacking from steam and even then I lose focus most times and die. The game isn’t fun when it’s not working properly and the developer don’t seem to do anything about it.
Ok I may have managed to get my PS4 controller working with BF2042. But just be clear, this is a real issue with BF2042, stock PS4/5-controller still does NOT work properly in BF2042.
I had to download ds4windows and create a virtual Xbox controller in order for it to be detected in BF2042. Important do download all drivers needed, and hide the original controller when detected. This way only the virtual Xbox controller will be visible.
This worked for me on Windows 11. Had to remap keys in BF2042 to my liking.

Nah, that’s ok I’m not going through all that besides I’m on windows 10 and like using my Xbox series x controller.
I found this thread because I was having the same issues as everyone else. I updated the drivers on the Xbox Accessories app and my controller still acted up in-game(start button was crouch, couldn't aim left or right, etc). The only solution I've found is to connect your controller directly to your PC with a USB C adapter. It worked for me.
If anyone has found a way to use an Xbox controller wirelessly in BF 2042 on PC, please let me know

If you try to deploy to a vehicle you won't be able to zoom at all afterward you have to die to reset and when throwing grenades you'll notice that you can't hold it down it just throws it. This happens every single time after deploying directly to a vehicle at least for me I can't attest to what your experience is. I am really frustrated with this game. I want to like it but it's trying its hardest to make it very hard for me to play and I refuse to go back to using a keyboard and mouse.
