@Mackiedumb55Fact that your console is powering off coupled with low fps makes me think you may have a broken console. This Bf does seem very graphicaly intense so you wouldnt get this stress from other games.
I imagine its shutting down as a safety feature to avoid further damage, maybe high temps etc
Had a little google and it seems that there are issues that cause series X's to turn off
Well my Xbox seems to run everything else fine, I've never really had fps issue or my console shut down. Also it has only happened twice and doesn't seem to be often. I have seen other players complaining that it also shuts down their Xbox, so I'm not sure if it's 2042 or hardware related.
On the lag tho I have a 4k display and am thinking maybe the game is forcing a higher resolution instead of just 1080p 60fps. My idea was to turn off my 4k settings in Xbox and see if that does anything.
- @Mackiedumb55 Yeah i would expect it to run everything else well, not many games have as much stuff going on as 2042, maybe causing the xbox to go into almost a 'safe mode'

So it only happens on bf2042, never happens with any other games or any other bf games either, so magically thousands of consoles are suddenly broken within a few days of bf2042 releasing.

It's not my console. Further, same thing happened with my xbox series s with black ops cold war. Eventually they fixed it but when it was happening it nearly bricked the xbox - green/brown screened. Playing BF2042 on my Series X is doing the same thing now. Every time I try to play the "Series S/X" version on the "Xbox Series X" it crashes after a few minutes in the match. It doesn't do this on when I play it on the "Series S" (the same one that kept crashing with COD BOCW). This is an issue with the game build. If it wasn't BOCW would still be crashing my "Series S"
