Honestly most of the features are necessary or largely fine and have been around since at least the "golden era" of 3 and4. I really fail to see the major issue with any of them tbh.
1. The doritos only show up in "smoke" thats part of the environment not actually inside smoke grenade volumes which hides them.
2. If we didnt have hitmarkers we'd be back at the "muh netcode" thing and complain about shots not doing hitting and even then in a chaotic fight it'd be hard to actually gauge if you were doing anything so its just necessary.
3. Passive healing is needed because people will neglect their medic roles, and in real combat a defibrillator wont bring you back, one bullet kills you often enough, and you also wouldnt likely have a giant ground skirmish like this in a modern era but here we are doing that and having fun its a game dude.
4. Aim assist is necessary for controllers they are not that great for FPS aiming without it call it cheating fine whatever I love me my competitive mouse only games too but cmon man.
5. It's a quality of life thing and means on larger maps you arent trapped because someone else used up all the jeeps for jeep c4 antics.
6. Honestly most people cant aim that well to make this a huge problem and if it becomes one they can always just change it back.
7. It has fast uses yes, but also when players arent bothering half the time someone's gotta pick up the slack. Yes its "unrealistic" but again this is a game if I wanted to play a realistic army shooter I can go play Arma at any time but Im here in Battlefield for chaotic frantic fun.
8. The revive request thing just makes it where medics can actually focus attention on doing their jobs. If you hide downed players on the HUD then they will NEVER get revived and make the entire medic playstyle utterly pointless.
Battlefield has been and always will be a casual fun army sandbox game where people do wild crazy antics that make no realistic sense but it follows the rule of cool. On that premise it seems like DICE do understand that and are keeping that alive with 6.

That's why BF fynally turns into another COD. That's not cool , that's just dumb as f*ck. If the majority of its fanbase is really that dumb, I'm just out of here. I'm not buying a game for $70 which needs me to be that dumb to enjoy it. That's just humiliating.

If it's for lack of goodbye, don't be like that...

Bf3 did a fantastic job of mixing fun and serious.
You didn't have auto spot, vehicles were tough, combat felt grounded and not arcade like, it had fantastic immersion, the spotting system worked perfectly, the gadgets were all well balanced, the whole game was built around balance.
Bf4 started going south, auto spotting, futuristic rubbish, too many gadgets, counter knife etc.
You can have cool and fun without overloading with gimmicks.
Sometimes more is less.

Bf has never been chaotic. Until now. All the hard core handed will be much less "arcade like" imo.
