No, I was renowned for being a top helo players for years, me and my gunner owned the server when we are on.
Helos are not fun to fly in the game, it feels nothing like it should to me, but you know what is fun, blowing them up and having your support main friend keep you full stocked!
Stingers are fine, the VEHICLES need a Passover for health and a physics rework.
The biggest issue? Maps in the beta are too small for aerial vehicles realistically. BF4 did set a radar ceiling level at least for missile lock, so flying low enough and you wouldn't get a lock, but even so, you did have plenty of room to egress out of the area if getting locked by AA, other aircraft, or man portable AA. In the past, if aircraft became such a menace in a match, at least 5 engineers on the enemy team will always turn their attention towards you and you will have not 1, but 4-5 missiles coming at you from multiple angles. BF3 - we had the infamous crossbow with explosive tips that were a fast way to knock a low flying heli off its gyro and inadvertently cause the pilot to crash most of the time.
It is definitely a rookie mistake if you activate countermeasures on a lock and not once a missile has been launched. I will hold my lock on you for as long as possible before launching, just as the moment you fire of countermeasures without a launch indication is the moment that i laugh and fire as soon as i get a lock again.
