I disagree that Stingers should be completely removed from Battlefield, but there sure needs to be more breathing room for pilots. Right now flying is often not about fighting other helicopters, jets or tanks. It is about constantly scanning for infantry with lock ons or AA vehicles and killing them fast just to survive (Which is surely bad for them ). Anti air spam is so excessive that hunting infantry has become my main job as a pilot. It feels like going backwards to balance the game so heavily around anti air instead of encouraging players to actually try helicopters. If they did, they would see what skilled pilots really go through. Instead most just watch a YouTube clip of some top player going 100 to 0 and think that is normal. In reality the average player struggles to stay alive for more than a few minutes. It is sad how unmotivated people are to understand what vehicle gameplay in Battlefield is about. Instead of learning to fly, improve, and respect the skill ceiling, or at least playing non vehicle maps, most just spam Stingers or ask for nerfs. That mindset does not make the game better. It kills the variety, depth, and the iconic vehicle gameplay that Battlefield is known for.
