Auto-spotting for anyone but recon needs to go

Easily 30-35m out, if an enemy is even a tad close to your reticle, they get a red marker. Sneaking, flanking, hiding, one of these are possible in the game. You get instantly spotted by players, causing you to constantly be under fire. Only recons should be getting these at best.

  • But recon can also be spotted by auto spot. Not to mention there are plenty of others ways available to spot snipers (glint being the main offender, kill cam, dmg indicator, paint & mark enemies, voice & chat box since your allies could give you a heads up).

Can't say I'm a fan either cause it takes skill to try to anticipate your opponent movement and counter flanking but now you know how snipers feel about glint given away our position

Oh! I see, sorry about that.

Still though, recon should at least be able to share their intel with their squad otherwise the class feels unfulfilled, they did that with the drone in 2042 and it seem like a wasted opportunity.

Actually how would you feel about recon only being able to share auto spotting with allies near them, that way marking a spot to warn for danger would make more sense since not everyone would be able to see what recon unit sees. There are of effect should probably be a little less or about the same as the motion sensor. I think that would work nicely and promote squads to tag along with 1 recon unit to avoid being ambushed
