Balancing thoughts - For the Devs
Hi.
1: I’ve recently seen that you plan to nerf the shotgun. I’d just like to advise that this makes no sense. I played quite a lot with the shot gun and at no point did it feel “OP”. At no point did I feel I was at an advantage. If you land your shots up close and personal, it’s an insta kill. That’s exactly how a shotgun should work. Shotguns do also have a certain range on them to be effective and the range certainly did feel realistic. If you missed your shots, you were screwed. That’s the balance.
So please leave the shot gun alone. It SHOULD be a one hit kill. It’s a damned shotgun???
2: RPG’s need some serious balancing alongside the general effectiveness of explosives or explosions. I shouldn’t be shooting someone with an RPG, land the shot, just to find I haven’t killed them and they then kill me with a pistol. I shouldn’t blow up a tank, just for the people who were clinging on the back or hiding underneath it to come running out and then kill me. That explosion should kill them. RPG explosions aimed at the tank should kill players who are laying on top of it, repairing it. RPG’s seem to do extensive vehicle damage and building damage but very little damage to the player. It’s an explosive. This is not right. I understand there needs to be some consideration to the fact that if the RPG is OP, players will spam it. But right now it’s majorly underpowered.
