Battlefield 6 – Public Suggestion Thread for EA & DICE

Hey EA/DICE and fellow Battlefield fans,

I wanted to start a centralized suggestion thread that EA and the developers can hopefully monitor to see what the community really wants for Battlefield 6 (BF6) — not just at launch, but as the game evolves over time. The goal is to help keep the game fresh, community-driven, and something players want to return to again and again.

Suggestion: Community-Created Maps via Portal Tools

One idea I'm really excited about revolves around community-created maps using Portal or similar tools. Here's the concept:

Public Map Creation: Allow players to design maps using EA’s tools (whether it's Portal or something more advanced).

Submission System: Players can submit maps directly to EA through a formal submission process.

Voting System: Each month, the community votes on their favorite submissions.

Live Rotation: The top 5 community-voted maps are added to the public rotation for a month.

Permanent Selection: The top 2 maps (based on popularity and performance) get officially added to the game.

Not only does this give the game a constant flow of new content, but it also highlights the talents of the community and gives players a true sense of ownership and involvement.

I’ve heard arguments like “this is really hard to pull off,” and I totally get it — but I also know there are a lot of incredibly skilled people out there who would love to contribute. Some may be aspiring level designers, game devs, or just longtime players with great ideas.

Disclaimer: EA could include a clear TOS stating that any submitted content becomes their property to avoid legal issues. That’s fair.

  • -Server browser, the option to search for multiple (chosen by the player) maps/modes

-Reduced bloom/spread but increased recoil to compensate (I want to feel in control of my gun, and not by sheer luck and by stopping to fire my gun), also very unsatisfying to be aiming center mass just to see your bullet waving goodbye while entering the black hole from interstellar just to hit me in the back.

-Hardcore mode (Reduced hp, infantry only, reduced or no sniper glint)

-Some kind of incentive to revive teammates more rewarding so 3 medics don't stare at me sensually in the eyes while trampling my body just to run past. And no, I was in fact not in danger anymore considering the first 7 soldiers that ran past and cleared the way, you know, the same thing that always happens. So maybe, a revive quota to unlock a xp bonus per game? or a gadget you have to unlock from game to game (Medic, self healing stim?), (assault, ammo bag for himself?), (sniper, no glint?), (engineer, dual wielding torches? Or some sort of drone?).

-In the menu, when going in and out of graphic settings and such, please dont default it back into the top category everytime. I was changing my textures and shadows, not my colorblind accessibility (even tho i am colorblind), but since the game is kind of unoptimized i have to change a lot, very often to find the sweet spot of things.

-I do miss a bullet drop at distances, with every weapon/ammo type having different drop rates. That was a fun learning aspect of the game. With the barrels, and supressors adding to the velocity but making the gun heavier and thus slower. I do understand that the maps are a lot smaller than they used to, making bullet drop kind of unrealistic at these distances... But some fix to this is needed cause i feel for example that the snipers bullet has hitscan or close to. They can crouch up from over a rock, and the bullet will hit you faster than the sun that apparantly was his sights. Cause of this sniper are abusing crouch to stance visual delay to get easy picks.

-Assault/Medic: I understand you want more people to play as the medic, but making the medic have healing, ammo and revives makes the medic too op in my eyes (I've always played the medic), problem with this is that it brings over all the trigger happy assault just using medic for healing and ammo, and just looking away from the revive aspect of the medic...
Assault: The ammo capacity of the assault is laughable, i know mags and ammo is alot of weight, but cmon... at least remove the sidearm to make more room, i mean, the engineer is carrying rpg, rockets and a torch, whilst carrying an entire arsenal worth of ammo.

-I do like that shotguns is one shot when up close, but the amount of movement speed you have while running with it and the quick pull up time with it makes it too fast to compete with. And with the slow TTK combined with the BLOOM the can literally run up to you whilst taking damage just to shoot you one time.

-Buff the pistol and DMR's, they feel useless.

-Breaktrough might need some tweaking to it's balancing issues...

-A better description of attachments and what it does and the possible effects they might have, example: the lmg scope with the variable zoom. No one understood the description of it and knew while reading it that you could change the magnification on it. Also maybe add in some hybrid sights. I also feel like the bugdet system of the attachments might need some more tweaking, all the fun/good attachment were way to expensive to be actually useable (200round mag for the lmg, cost 55/100).

I did like the overall movement, responsiveness, the satisfying feeling of hitting shots and getting kills.

First off....BF6 looks like the true successor to BF3. I am stoked.

I would like to see the PAX Armada factions uniforms darker so visuals with NATO are more distinctive....in a game made in the west, they are painted as the rebels/bad guys and so this would be appropriate.

    Totally agree with CanadianAtlas

In terms of gameplay, the further away it stays from COD, the better.
I loved fighting down alleyways with chokepoints in BF3/BF4. Metro was a blast in Rush and nothing like trying to fight inch by inch with a bunch of people. This is more authentic than flying around like Jason Bourne, leaping through windows etc.

Only thing I would disagree with is....bring back all the BF3 maps in Portal.

i personally am a BF vet from bad company to now. i must say i love how advanced the game has gotten. With that said here are some suggestions from the beta takeaway i hope to see in release. so far the game is great and extremely impressed wouldn't want to change anything just hope to add, except the sliding. maybe i was doing it wrong but running and then crouching is what i felt like i was doing. is there a way to make it feel more like sliding on my end. i know COD does but i want your own identity. Now for the things you have already done lets bring them in on this. example 1. BF2042 in the field attachment swap is legendary would love that in some aspect in BF6 maybe in the menus you load up a back pack and then while in gameplay you look at your gun to make the quick swaps of attachments. example 2. BF4 the amount of cross class options were epic. I.E. support class had mortars, UAV, and C4 and other throwables on all classes made me feel like i choose a role for the perks of that role. now im choosing a class to have certain throwables. let me fully load up. personally i know many won't like these features but its just the things you have already done. i played in the pre beta test as well as the beta and i loved it all. sniper glint was a little strong but thats okay. but all in all im waiting to play this weekend and convinced 8 buddies to pre order. so looking forward to playing again. GREAT JOB EA.

  • Adding the battlefield 3 health bar that has a heart rate monitor, could be cool to see when your squad mates characters heart rate is elevated. Just another way to indicate someone's in combat. Also adding compass directions on the minimap.

  • I think they need to make party sizes bigger I like 4 man squads but when I’m trying to play with 7 other people it is such a hassle to keep us all in the same lobby
