Battlefield 6 Beta Feedback + Bugreports
Hi,
I have created two main categories for this post: Bugs / Glitches and Feedback. The first category will be a collection of issues that are most likely unintended, while the latter addresses my thoughts and ideas regarding the content from the beta.
BUGS / GLITCHES ETC.
Soldier
- Planting a gadget often caused the gadget to disappear instead of being planted and the "ammo" of said gadget to be used up (ex., deploy beacon)
Vehicles
- Zooming, or ADS-ing feels unresponsive. It sometimes takes long to go in or out of zoom.
- Switching to 3rd person view is not possible while zoomed in
- Vehicles are not spotted properly (known issue)
- (Jet) air radar only shows enemy aircraft when extremely close to the player
- The Jet's laser-guided rocket can lock on to targets looked at using the free cam feature, allowing it to lock on to targets behind the Jet. This also seems to be the case for the attack heli's AA rockets
- Below radar does not seem to work against stingers
- Deploying: Can't press deploy while hovering the Jet icon on the map when it's not available (normally it plays a sound indicating that the vehicle is either unavailable or the player is waiting for the respawn cooldown to finish). This does not happen for some vehicles sometimes after death. This sometimes caused the player to take longer to be able to select the vehicle
Maps and game modes
- Liberation Peak, PAX side: (The Jet) can't rearm / repair at the vehicle station in their base
- Liberation Peak, NATO side: (The Jet) can rearm / repair at the vehicle station in BOTH bases
Menu, UI/UX
- The options menu is not accessible in the shooting range
- The end-of-match FULL scoreboard can't be closed with the Esc key
- Binding MAP to a different key will open but NOT close the map (known issue)
- When going out of a specific options category, the menu is back at the top instead of where it was left last
- While dead and on the map screen, the game sometimes randomly changes the active selected deploy option
FEEDBACK / FEATURES / WISHES
Classes
Many of the following points in this category can be summarized as: "please stop creating 'supersoldiers' that can do anything on their own." I believe that each class- and weaponchoice carrying significant strengths and weaknesses to be a unique and interesting play pattern that inherently emphasizes the team-oriented play
- Assault class: Feels completely out of place. It does not serve any unique purpose in the team-focused aspect of the game. Two primaries feel much to powerful
- Support: having both ammo and meds + revives feels too powerful
- Engineer: being able to equip 2 rocket launchers feels too powerful
- Recon: C4 recharging on its own (no need for a supplybox) feels toopowerful (this ofc. goes for any other gadget that recharges on it's own - I just noticed this one in particular)
- Open-Weapon system: Overall, not a fan. Closed-Weapon system seems like a much better way of class identity and balance when managed properly long-term
- Squad passives: big fan of the passives that reward squad-focused teamplay. Looking forward for different options to allow for different playstyles to shine. Not a fan of the active "abilities" however. These feel incredibly out of place, like some hero-shooter type stuff...
Gameplay
- At round start, the game FORCES the player to deploy at base: PLEASE remove this "feature" or make it optional (if a player wants to fly a jet, they HAVE TO REDEPLOY at the beginning of the match, costing the team a ticket...)
- CQC modes: deploy-beacon does not work since you are FORCED to deploy after death. Please also disable autodeploy here
- CQC modes: respawn timer MUCH to short. (there is no timer)
- The game feels (a bit) to fast.
- Sliding is fun, but I'm not a fan of it's offensive usability
- Spawning on objectives often puts me right into enemy fire
- Playing with more than 4 friends is somewhat awkward. Please allow for party sizes bigger than 4 (not squad size, but just the party size so we can easily queue up together)
- Skip revive: so far almost exclusively a negative experience with this feature. Please consider changing it (so players can't skip before their respawn timer is ready again) or removing it entirely (I prefer the latter)
- The automatic 3D spotting feature for infantry seems a bit too aggressive; sneaky/hiding-type gameplay is borderline impossible
Maps and game modes
- Breakthrough and Rush: so far the maps felt quite defender-sided even on the first sectors
- Map selection is very infantry focused. Hoping to see more big maps
- Liberation Peak: wishing for some additional flanking opportunities. Too many AA emplacements for the small size of the map
Vehicle
- Attack Heli has been nerfed a bit too much imo. Slow mobility and weak firepower combined with weak defense
- please add points awarded for "flare baited" when firing an AA rocket at aircraft and "assist counts as kill if said aircraft dies while the "baited flares" are still on cooldown
Features
- Please add a practice range similar to BF4's
Menu, UI/UX
- Please add a search bar in the Options menu
- The server browser should be the main way to select games
- The filtered search needs:
- more filter options (like player count, closed or open weapon, etc.)
- to actually only look for games within the filtered options (Caution, rant incomming: "we may expand the search to get you to play more quickly" why the hell would I want to join a game that is not the maps/modes that I filtered for... I set the filter because I want to play that specific thing. or in other words: I did not select certain maps/modes because I DO NOT want to play those. this seriously blows my mind. rant over)
