Beta feedback so far (4 hours gameplay)
Hello, I'd like to provide some general feedback regarding the game. It seems like this is the place to do so.
- Ally HUD markings are sometimes missing during gameplay (pic attached)
- Very little visual difference between ally and enemy, besides the HUD markings.
- Breakthrough in Siege of Cairo on the left from the attacker side the 2nd floor area had graphical glitches, like some textures becoming black or stretching out infinitely.
- No option to disable cross-play on PC. This put console players on an advantage with the auto aim/aim assist.
- Graphics settings are somewhat confusing to navigate.
- Exiting a vehicle will a lot of the time spawn the player in the front of the vehicle. Exiting from the side would be more logical and realistic (and much less frustrating for the player).
- Additionally, it is sometimes impossible to exit the tank seats 3 and 4 (hanging from the back of the tank) as the player will automatically re-enter the seat after exiting, sometimes requiring 3-10 attempts to disengage.
- Maps are quite small or at least feel small.
- Matchmaking is broken, especially on breakthrough. No team balancing.
- Mouse controls feel a bit weird (I am not sure how to describe it specifically, aim felt heavy), possibly because aim assist is enable by default.
- Sniper shot trails are too obvious/thick. The bright lens flares are good enough as an indicator.
- General HUD feels a bit COD-like, arcade-ish.
- Grenade launcher behaves like an RPG. GLs in most games, including all of the previous Battlefield entries, behaved more like a hand held mortar with a big bullet drop. This is not the case in Battlefield 6 and it feels off. Also, the grenade indicator is really not necessary.
- Cheaters already present in the Beta of the game despite kernel level anti-cheat being implemented. No words, really...
Generally, the gameplay is fairly fun but not quite there yet. Too many little nuisances hinder the experience, such as forced cross-play, cluttered HUD, vehicle issues, etc. But at least the main menu does not eat more resources than the gameplay anymore (looking at you, BF 2042) so that is something.
