Bf6 beta: Changes moving the game in the wrong direction
So I've played battlefield since BF3 an spent more then enough hours to get my cost of entertainment hour down to less then 3 cents an hour. Why am I saying that? Because I don't feel that in the current state, BF6 could do anywhere near that for me. Changes have been made that fundamentally altered the game. For the worse. Played enough of the beta an while it's far better than 2042, it still isn't truly battlefield. Don't get me wrong. I'll have my fun. But we as consumers, could always get more fun. Give us a reason for us to give you, our money. So, issues I have this far.
#1. TTK is just wrong. Too fast. Alot of the fun was being able to win a gun fight by reacting to being shot an responding with skill to put the threat down. Now it's a game of who gets the first pull which is no fun because that's exactly what call of duty an pretty much every other fps is.
#2. Lock the classes. The next selling point for battlefield was being forced to work as a team. An support class being able to run a sniper, or engineer with a sniper? So just do whatever you want. Again, call of duty-esque. Be that lone wolf... Absolutely not. Battlefield was fail alone or succeed TOGETHER as a team. Why would everyone not just run assault for access to both long range an mid range weapons in 1 build. Oh, wait, that's what happened in the beta. Everyone thought they were Chris Kyle on liberation peak. Every class. Snipers. Scope glint EVERYWHERE(which is also insane) Locking the classes promotes balance.
#3 an #4. Hyper fixation on assault class an demeaning every other class. Does everyone remember what "assault" class did in BF3 an 4? They were the medics. You know what you needed to get revives out. Suppressive fire. From Lmgs. The support class. Can't have suppressive fire to prevent people pushing, when your gunners are running around trying to revive everyone. Now, By allowing assault to run two primary weapons, once again we have promoted a solo play style mentality. Just let one class do it all. **bleep** on the others. Why are we giving assault the spawn beacon? No one will play recon. A motion sensor an c4 is supposed to be the cake for recon? Nah. Useless. By keeping the spawn beacon with snipers, you have 2 options. 1, the fun option, the person who sits out in the corner of the maps wasting his life away trying to snipe an setting his team up for failure(unless it's a defensive game mode, rush) while you counter snipe him to put him out of commission. An recon respawns. Only for you to get the joy of popping the recon again. Or option 2, the winning method. The person who decides to switch the sniper for a carbine(1 of the few unlocked weapons from previous titles) an plays more of a stealth ops style, getting behind the enemy an getting the spawn beacon out for squad mates to perform the game winning flank. Could also call it the smart option.
Fundamental changes were made in 2042 that need to be unmade. Promote team coordination. Not the lone wolf gameplay that every fps game currently is. Let us have fun again. Allow us to have some social interaction. Made a lot of "gaming friends" by teaming up with randoms an just having a great time. Playing together. Easiest option would be to do what you did with the beta. Have conquest an locked weapon conquest with a few changes, an make it a throw back to the good ole times where every class has a clear purpose an each squad needed one of each to win a game.
P.s. Also, I love the corner lean feature, an I'm glad to see it back, but could it be more of a peek? I feel like your character is bending his torso at the hips to 90 degrees parallel to the ground an the only thing still behind cover is your legs.
