The vehicles in Battlefield 6 are too weak.

I am extremely disappointed with this beta test. The Battlefield franchise now feels like it has completely abandoned its roots. This test did *not* give me the feeling of a return to Battlefield 3 or Battlefield 4. Battlefield 6's core gameplay loop feels fundamentally similar to 2042, and vehicle handling has somehow regressed even further from that title.

My EA ID is: hayaseyuuka100kg. In Battlefield 2042, my career stats include 10,000 vehicle kills and 30,000 infantry kills. I believe this gives me sufficient experience to discuss infantry vs. vehicle balance.

Vehicles in Battlefield have always served a crucial role in breaking through defenses. Battlefield 6 completely discards this function. Ground vehicles, including Main Battle Tanks and Infantry Fighting Vehicles, are far too fragile. The fact that Engineers can carry 5 RPG rocketsis excessive. Tank first-person sensitivity is inexplicably low, resulting in awkward and unresponsive handling. Furthermore, drivers lack access to APS, drastically reducing a tank's survivability.

If the development studio harbors this much animosity towards vehicles, you might as well remove them entirely and just make a large-scale Call of Duty. There's no need to alienate and frustrate dedicated vehicle players like this.

Specific issues compounding the problem:
1. Overpowered Counters:The Infrared Anti-Vehicle Mine deals excessively high damage and is incredibly difficult to spot. A single hit is devastating to any vehicle.
2. Lack of Self-Repair: Vehicles cannot perform self-repairs.
3. Poorly Placed Repair Stations:The locations of repair stations are extremely inconvenient and illogical. If you insist on keeping the repair station system, then at the very least make vehicle strength comparable to Battlefield V.
4. Result: Vehicles are suppressed from every angle, forced into passive "camper" roles. Coordinated pushes between infantry and vehicles are practically impossible.

Air Vehicles are even worse:
Helicopter Handling: It's catastrophic. The inertia is excessive, making them incredibly clunky and difficult to control. It's baffling how a studio could produce helicopters with such abysmal maneuverability. Combined with their pitifully weak armament, their ground suppression capability is effectively zero
Jets:Jets are just as bad. They have far too little health and their weaponry is severely underpowered.

How can you possibly claim Battlefield 6 represents a "return" to Battlefield 4 or 3? Battlefield 4's vehicles were a hundred times more effective and enjoyable than what is presented here.**

Once again: If you don't want vehicles in your game, remove them and make a large-scale Call of Duty.

  • i agree wholeheartedly as a bf4 vehicle main. also with the tiny maps they’re used on it feels like i’m playing on a shooting gallery where survival means having a good gunner who honestly probably gets more killing done then the actual driver with how responsive it is in comparison to the main gun. and with the on rails nature of the map it feels like i have very little tactical options and room to maneuver. that is of course on top of how terribly slow the tracked vehicles steer both on the move and in place.

  • Yeah gunners should get more kills that's their job, shoot infantry. Driver/pilots job is to transport and attack other vehicles (I say as a former pilot). Current vehicle mains are whiny babies just want to be indestructible

  • Tank play is COD- Main view is 3rd person, where in every other BF Main view was first person with 2 zoom levels for wide field and close in with the option to go 3rd for quick outside up close infantry combat.   BF6 tank is not fun at all.  It's going to be a problem on Firerstorm and similar maps of that size.

  • From what i have saw , all combat  vehicles endurance is perfect ... i  realy do like it . why are you asking for a super tank or helicopter when in reality a simple 400 $ drone can take  down a Abrams or a helicopter,  or at list, it  can incapacitate the vehicles. So , combat vehicles are ok and are much more things to do,like optimise the game. That's what i had to say ,see you  in BattleField !

  • I think they were trying to encourage repairing. I've noticed in the last few matches people have been laying on the top of the tank repairing it non-stop. This has allowed the tank to remain long enough to make a difference.

I definitely think they need to rebalance the vehicles and agree with you. You shouldn't need to have two soldiers laying on the top repairing 24/7 to make them playable.

That's what open beta is here for, though, so they can figure out what they need to fix / adjust.

I'm not asking for overpowered super-tanks or super-helicopters. But you absolutely must achieve a better balance between infantry and vehicles.

During my gameplay yesterday, I witnessed single infantry players destroying enemy tanks multiple. times For a modern warfare tank, the absence of reactive armor and is fundamentally illogical.

The respawn timer for infantry is a mere 8 seconds, yet a destroyed vehicle takes two and a half minutesto respawn. The fact that infantry can eliminate a tank at such a disproportionately low cost is blatantly unbalanced.

Compounding this is the extremely low splash damage of the tank's main cannon. Shells practically need a direct hit on an infantry soldier's body to secure a kill – this is utterly unreasonable for a tank and makes supporting teammates and breaking through enemy lines nearly impossible.

Regarding air vehicles, I wander know that if you have spent  time piloting helicopters or jets in-game. The excessive inertia makes helicopters incredibly difficult to turn and incapable of performing basic maneuvers. Helicopters in this state are little more than decorative props, let alone effective tools for engaging enemy assets.

I am not demanding super-powered vehicles. All I want is a fair, balanced combat experience where every element has its viable role.

  • Weakest vehicles in BF HISTORY! Vehicles need to be buffed. The tank does ZERO splash damage against infantry. Tanks need to be feared when they are on the map and take coordinated strategic attacks to take out.

    1. BUFF Paper armor
    2. MBT needs to have inflict splash damage
    3. Shouldn’t Have to retreat to base to restock ammo! Ammo stations for vehicles need to be all around the map. Not making you bail on your team and drive all the way back to the base.
