Assault Shotgun needs a nerf

It's perfect just the way it is ....

You ever shoot a shotgun in the real world buddy? Like, a for real honest too goodness Remington 870/M870 or Mossberg 500/590?

Those are pump action shotguns exactly like the current shotgun in game. Believe me, an experience dude can shoot a pump-gun WAAAAAY Faster. As for the firepower (range and stopping power) of the current ingame shotgun it honestly needs buffed if anything, but it is absolutely fine as is.

Boy, I can't wait to see your mind blown by semi-auto shotguns, and then Automatic shotguns.

Personally I think its fine the way it is. It's supposed to be one of the strongest if not the strongest close quarters weapon. If anything they could increase the spread slightly and reduce the rate of fire a bit.

I agree. There needs better balancing. And for those who say that its realistic, that shotguns in real life are that good, I know. But this is a video game and not even getting a chance to shoot back within 30 yards is not fun.

It feels like a primary weapon because it is, you get two primaries on the assault class. If you prefer you can run that shotgun as your primary on another class, you can also switch that gun for a dmr or carbine. It's just another primary slot.

I also find it kind of funny how people always want realism on battlefield and hate how COD feels until they catch start catching buckshot.

I think it's fine. It's just the beta maps are mostly urban-based so that you see a lot of shotguns in action. Their spread is tighter than in previous games so it's more rewarding to skills, but not overpowered. The rifle/smg hipfire is pretty good as well with full attachments. 

Balancing a game has nothing to do with real life, buddy, pumpy it's a lot of fun to use, everbody realized that because it's OP and got to be tuned down a bit either firerate or range, alternatively everything else needs to be tuned up

OP is right. We can't have one gun be realistic while the others take 4-5+ large caliber AR rounds to achieve the same damage as a single shotgun round. 

Balance it one way or the other. Personally I like fast ttk.

Some just want ez mode where they can sprint corners, get shot 4 times, and still be alive to land one shotgun round for an insta-kill.

Maybe stop being a sissy boy and ask Dice real nice to BUFF other weapons. Because I think the other guns are pretty lacking for the most part. But I don't blame you, in particular, or at all really. I blame DICE for doing weird dumb**bleep** to guns for the longest time, my personal ire weapons are the M2010 ESR and the SVK. M2010 fires .300 Winchester Magnum. the SVK fires 8.6x70... Or to normal people... .338 Laupa Magnum. But... a .300winmag kills with a single headshot, while the .338 LM is a bigger, heavier, and FASTER round takes two... Weird...
