Using alternative layout also breaks bipoding/mounting.
I play console and experienced the same issue. The melee button still wants to crouch/prone my character. Additionally, when trying to deploy the bipod, I also experienced challenges because the character was trying to crouch & deploy at the same time which would cancel out the bipod deployment. I opted to mapp the left stick (press down) as my bipod/mount button (using alternative button) and that seemed to be a solution. Although every time I melee, my character crouches, it's funny/ annoying. Lol
