Core issues identified

Big Battlefield fan here! BF3 & 4 are my favorites. After being let down by 2042, I'm cautiously hopeful. Here's what I’m seeing in the current build.

SubjectFeedbackAction
AutospottingAutospotting needs to go entirely. Most of the time, enemies are marked for me without my input. This removes player agency and makes me feel like I’m not in control.Disable autospotting completely.
Game Pace vs. Map SizeCurrent map design forces a very high pace. Too high. There’s little room for tactical play or breathing space. Unless you stick to the map edges, you’re often fighting multiple enemies at once. The increased pace changes the target group of the game. Old battlefield fans will be disgruntled, while cod players will likely move to COD, leaving a fractured game.Reassess map design and pacing to allow more tactical movement and space.
Map Size LabelsMap size descriptions don’t match reality. “Medium” maps feel small, “Small” maps feel tiny. I worry that “Large” at launch will actually feel medium.Redefine the size categories so they accurately reflect in-game scale.
Building DurabilityBuilding destruction feels over-tuned. A single 40mm round can wipe out the entire front of a building. It’s impressive tech, but not well-calibrated.Reduce building destruction strength or adjust weapon/explosive damage values.
Menu HUDThe menu HUD wastes space and feels like a streaming service interface. In-game HUD overloads the player with constant icons, circles, damagenumbers, and sounds. It’s tiring and removes the need for player awareness. Less is more. Look at BF3/4.Simplify and declutter both the menu and in-game HUD.
Server BrowserNo need to explain. This has been discussed endlessly. It’s a basic feature.Add a proper server browser.
Class-Locked WeaponsNot locking weapons to classes undermines the class system—a core part of Battlefield’s identity. Testing it only in one mode guarantees skewed data, especially when that mode is A CLICK AWAY HIDDEN IN THE CORNER in weekend two. Feels like the decision was made in advance.Make class-locked weapons the default for all modes.
Support Role OverloadCurrent Support role is overloaded: suppression/defense (shield + LMG) plus medic and resupply duties. Too much for one class.Move defibrillators to Assault; Frontline revives fit better there.
Spawn Beacon on AssaultThe stated reason was to prevent lone Recons in remote areas abusing beacons. But if Assault can equip sniper rifles, the problem remains; It’s just moved. If weapons aren’t class-locked, rethink spawn beacon restrictions.
