Dear EA: Stop Turning Battlefield into Call of Duty

In the recent beta, it’s obvious that the TTK (Time To Kill) system has been stretched way too far. It now takes nearly an entire magazine to take down a single soldier — and that’s simply not Battlefield. Battlefield has always been about fast, tactical, and realistic engagements, where a few well-placed shots decide the outcome. Now, we’re getting almost “bullet-sponge” mechanics that feel more like Call of Duty’s arcade style than true Battlefield gameplay.

If the intention behind this change is to attract COD players, think carefully — this could cost you your core, loyal Battlefield audience, who are here precisely for the realism and intensity that Battlefield is known for.

Battlefield doesn’t need COD-style TTK. It should stay true to its roots — realism, quick reaction, and tactical superiority. Remember, we play Battlefield for Battlefield, not for a copy of COD.

You said “LET’S BUILD BATTLEFIELD TOGETHER” yeah we are here , lets build it. Please fix this problem , TTK is very long , do it lower. Soilder should die with 2 - 4 well shot , not by whole magazine waste 

  • TheRock19999​ Ah gotcha, sorry bro I completely misunderstood your point. In that case yeah your feelings are valid, medium to long range can sometimes feel like you’re shooting brick walls. So many people moaning it’s too quick on here and for that reason it is a COD-like. The views on here are fckn wild and all over the place lmao.

    100% Totally agree with you. It really feels like BF6 lost that big, tactical Battlefield spirit we loved in the older games. The small maps, fast spawns, and weird TTK/TTD just don’t feel right. I miss those huge Grand Operations and squad-based teamwork that made Battlefield unique. Hopefully, the devs will hear us and bring back what made Battlefield special.

    No worries, bro! Happens to the best of us. Glad we could find some common ground. Yeah, medium to long range combat definitely feels inconsistent right now. Hopefully, with more updates and tuning, they’ll balance things better and bring back that classic Battlefield feel we all want. Appreciate the honest talk

    I would like to kindly request that you consider reducing the Time to Kill (TTK) to better reflect the realism of combat. In real-life scenarios, a few precise shots can quickly incapacitate an enemy, and having the in-game TTK match that would make the gameplay more intense, rewarding, and skill-based.

    A faster TTK would encourage players to aim carefully, react swiftly, and make each engagement feel more meaningful — just like real combat situations. This would restore the classic Battlefield feel many fans miss.
