Everyone using everything isn't fun

I get why people like the idea of open weapons. it gives more freedom, more room to mess around. But I really think closed weapons should be the default. Not to limit people, but because Battlefield just plays better when classes have specific gear..

When everyone can use everything, the whole point of picking a class kinda disappears. You end up with a bunch of clones running around with the same top tier meta guns, and the roles that made the game special (medic, assault, support, recon), they stop meaning anything. The teamwork breaks down. It becomes less about working together and more about who has the best loadout

some of the best moments I’ve ever had in Battlefield weren’t about fragging out. They were about pulling off a push with a squad where everyone had a job. Someone laying down ammo, someone reviving, someone blowing up tanks. That kind of synergy only really happens when roles actually matter. And that only happens when weapons are tied to those roles.

Yeah, open weapons are fun in smaller modes or as an option. but for the core experience? Closed weapons all the way. It keeps the identity of the classes alive and makes people actually play the objective, not just farm kills with whatever's broken that week.

Battlefield is at its best when it’s about us, not just me.
