Feedback regarding the Beta.

I had zero interest in gaming until I saw an advert for Battlefield 3 back in 2011 and ever since then I’ve been a battlefield fanboy.  For me Battlefield 3 and 4 were the gold standard with Battlefield 1 as a close second/third with regards to maps, visuals and sound.  I really think Battlefield 6 has recaptured this magic and will totally wash away the disaster that was 2042.

The Beta was a lot of fun but there are a number of issues that I would like to give feedback on:

Hit reg and Time to Die (TTD):
I know this has been mentioned in so many posts, but it does need mentioning.  The hit reg for me was ironically very hit and miss. In some games it was totally on point, you aimed you fired and killed the opponent.  In other games I would be less than 10m away from a stationary opponent and emptied a full magazine into him (and could hear every hit) and would do 25% damage but died instantly for his weapon.  The flip side of this is, I would die instantly in a single frame all the time.  I would hear the impact of a single bullet and instantly die.  I then looked at my death stats and it showed that I was hit b 6 bullets.  This seemed to happen all the time.

Footsteps:

This is an easy one, there were zero footsteps. On the bigger maps I could hear no footsteps at all but on the smaller maps I could at least faintly hear them.  I’m sure this will be fixed before launch.

Sniping:

I’m an infantry player and like to do the objectives (call me old fashioned). I have somewhat of dislike of snipers as they general do nothing for the team and hide at the edge of the maps taking potshots and the true heroes of the game (infantry).  I 100% agree that a headshot should be an instant kill but reintroducing the sweet spot mechanic rewards their lack of skill or contribution to the team.  Please remove this and reward the players working for the team and objectives of the game.

Open weapons vs closed weapons:
I’m easy either way with regards to open or closed weapons but if it’s open weapons then certain combinations of weapons and gadgets should be blocked. If you take away the spawn beacon from the recon and then give it to assault, sniper/campers will simply choose the assault class with a sniper rifle and we’re back to square one.  I think it can only work if you block an assault player equipped with a spawn beacon to be unable to also carry a sniper rifle. If he/she wants to carry a sniper rifle, then they will have to remove the spawn beacon.

The shotgun:

Well what can I say..! Seems a little OP at the moment and the fact that there were also no footsteps, this led to somewhat of a frustrating game.

Conclusions:
The game overall was amazing, I really think Battlefield studios have knocked this out of the park and apart from the above issues, which should be very easy to solve I had a blast playing this game.  I cannot stress this enough but BATTLEFIELD IS BACK BABY !!!!!!!
