I think the older maps play better and have more balance between vehicle and infantry. It was very different look at some of the layouts.
The Strike at Karkand remaster in Battlefield 3 was honestly not that good compared to the original. The Wake Island remasters are generally pretty terrible as well.
The Gulf of Oman remasters in Battlefield 3 and 4 were okay, I didn't think they were bad, but I certainly didn't think they were any good either.
The one exception is the Dragon Pass (Dragon Valley) remaster, it was really cool in Battlefield 4.
I agree it didn't totally feel the same but at least they were there in some form, which hey ill take that again rather than nothing but theres so many good old maps with great designs and layouts that should be brought back i feel like everything played better compared to newer maps but everyone has the fast pace mentality anymore.
