Maybe just release a new old version of Battlefield.

Here me out Devs. Just release a multiplayer only version of Battlefield that imports all of the classic Battlefield maps and mechanics with classic server matchmaking and hosting abilities that allow the community to drive the direction. Just think about it. Hundreds of maps and weapons and vehicles to choose from and build an experience. I fully realize that things have happened in the back end over time but is it really going to be harder to go and re-optimize some maps and models than a scratch build? These days you could probably design an A.I. that would be able to do most of it.

Think about it. I'd buy it.
