My personal list of QoL and NTH

Open Beta should be closed by now, so I thought of what I would like to see next in BF6 and how to improve it. I've played on PC and only the 2nd week-end, I've completely missed the first.

  1. When using a lock-on weapon, if there are two vehicles one empty and the other occupied but farther away, the lock-on weapon won't prioritize and switch to the occupied vehicle but will keep the first lock on the empty vehicle. This was a bit frustrating with attack choppers and jets.
  2. Please either add a list of available spawns or find a way to choose my spawn when the choices are bunched up together: if an ally is close to a spawn beacon or an IFV and is being labeled as in-combat, sometimes it is really hard to choose the spawn "under" the unavailable one.
  3. Please add the name of the passengers / pilots to the vehicle: this will help build community. For example, I once fought with an excellent attack chopper pilot but I wasn't able to read who he was up until we got killed (I've read it in the kill feed)... Guess who I wanted to play with?
  4. (hoping that I haven't missed it) Please add an option to choose the first person view turn mode for vehicles: turrets have a fixed turn rate and when in third person view the turret won't turn faster and will always try to follow the "aiming point" as best as it can. The first person view caps the turn rate and completely screws up muscle memory: please add an option to use the same "aiming method" between first and third person, so that I can point where I want my turret next. Right now it feels completely off and awful, so much that I don't want to touch ground vehicles.
  5. Please add an option to make the enemies "near miss" indicator a bit more visible: I don't know if making them thicker, changing the color or make it less transparent will work best.
  6. Moving too fast next to the resupply crate / point won't trigger the repair & resupply: this is not an issue for ground vehicles and helicopters, but it is very hazardous for jets that will have to move at "landing speed" and basically overshoot every time to the playing area, risking of being shot down. If not intended, please either add an exception to jets or make it so that can self repair even when the health bar is "red" (or add a specific repair point "out of bounds" for the whole ground crew but not for them)
  7. Please, add an option to customize my mini-map zoom: the current dynamic map zoom feels awful and always too short of the battlefield view. I don't know if it is "working as intended" or not, but I'd like to have a better view of the surrounding area. If I remember correctly there were 3 preset level of zooms in BF4, that would be a start.

Some things I don't know what the solution could be are:

  1. In liberation peak, engineers with stingers on objective C could lock-on on attack helicopters taking off from their spawn because they have a very long lock-on range (~650 meters). Disallowing locks on aircrafts sitting in the spawn area could be exploited (if I never leave the spawn area, I could lay waste to the closest objective with little retaliation) so nerfing Stinger lock-on range is probably the best solution, but I can't think that it will make it very, very hard for infantry to actually take down aircrafts: jets can run away undisturbed no matter what (they are too fast and from my feeling it is an intended feature because they can go down in one stinger hit at max health). On the other hand, if lock-on range for stingers is too short, attack choppers could sit in a spot and lay waste from a safe distance, which is something that was a thing back in BF3... I can't tell what would work best.

... and actually nothing else comes to my mind.
