I feel if they wanna test this out, I am all for it, But if so start up a test server.
I think they should just go back to how recons worked in BFBC2. Give em a recon ball (grenade) they can throw that ping the area for a coupl of seconds (and that can be destroyed if found ofc)..
Otherwize, when ppl see someone and press "Q" it should show up to everyone in the team (ON THE MAP ONLY).
And ONLY as long as said person have a line of sight to said target.
THE ONLY people that should see the dorrito (as we do now) are the ppl looking the same way as the "spotter".
That means SNIPERS will have a good team role beeing far away and spotting anything they see while people are pushing up, Knowing that as long as he see someone and have a clear line of sight, You have a slight idea of where at least some ppl are.
So not to sound like a broken record: You need to have a line of sight to your spotted target and as soon as you do the whole team can see where he is ( ON THE MAP) NOT through walls etc....its nothing thats in the game now, just saying) and to everyone that looking the same direction as you and are somewhat around you, can see the dorrito also (on screen, not only on the map).
But as soon as he move in behind cover everyone lose sight, The dorrito should be gone on the map together with anyone with a line of sight towards your target. Because at this point, You need to move, Find him again: Press Q and he is spotted again.
If that is un-fair / Make him show up on the map 1-2 sec even after said spotter is either dead or loose track to give a slight "idea" of what direction hewent. Its a game afterall.
But what ever you do, You need to delete the "passive" spotting we have now. At least force us to press "Q" to spot. If anything.
