Quietly optimistic about BF6 but...

Hi All/EA, had a generally fun weekend playing the beta on PC but a lot of negatives too.  My list of gripes IMHO:

TTK as already mentioned.

Maps were too small but I suspect this is something that will be fixed for October (hopefully!) Although the larger map looked impressive the play area was quite small and channelled the player into preset paths rather than creative approaches to attack flags. Flags should have been more spread out.

Repeatedly getting shot behind cover got old very quickly, this will make players feel there are more cheats playing than there actually are and turn players off the game. This is a big problem.

Getting stuck on tufts of grass is quite annoying as is bouncing up over cover when crawling or suddenly standing up when in prone when not selected.

Spotting should be done manually not automatically.

Getting shot should have some suppressive effect, the amount of times I was shooting and hitting another player only for them to turn and instantly kill me was very unrealistic. If BF6 is going to look realistic the gameplay should have a little realism too.

Getting headshot by snipers while running is impossible, sort it out.

Weapons should be class locked.

Squad mates should not be able to res unless a medic class, although the dragging to cover is a good idea / well implemented.

Uniforms are too similar to enemies so often mistook enemy as team mates.

DMRs are unusable now which is a shame as its my favourite class of weapon, the recoil and lack of stopping power is disappointing.

2nd gunner position on tanks is too weak. If you're getting hit by an HMG mounted to a tank it shouldn't take more than two rounds to stop them but they often just run off after multiple hits. also the aim is poor and suffers from too much recoil.

Tanks are too easy to kill now. Should have weak spots but in general tank armour will protect against RPGs.

Splash from explosions does very little to enemies. A round from a battle tank main gun should have a lot more effect to players near the impact point even if that is just knocking them down.

On  the whole I was quite happy with the overall look and gameplay of BF6 Beta on PC, definitely far more positive than 2042, and look forward to next weekend and ultimately October.

Cheers Kwaka
