Reached rank 20: final thoughts

So I’ve topped out the beta progression, very surprised I made it here after coming into the beta expecting the absolute worst.

I’m happy to report this game is a blast and have done so to anyone I know who can’t make the beta weekends. I will be buying and BF is certainly back on the right track. I have over 1000+ hours across the OG titles and I can honestly say, this is the most fun I’ve had in a battlefield game since 4. And goddamn it feels so good to say that after so long.

Personally, the TTK and movement are perfectly fine. The constant kvetching about this being COD is from the saltiest of the saltiest players who I’m sure would be disappointed even if they just reskinned one of the older classics. It’s seriously not that big of an issue, I’m rank 20 and haven’t died to “sweats” once across all game modes. It’s actually funny watching people try to swear the movement and fail miserably. Yes the current maps are very intense, but is that not what the game is about? Metro, Karkand, Bazaar, **bleep** yes we’re so back. 

I’m happy to see the community at large are embracing this game and I’m excited to see where this rekindling of the original DNA takes us. 

Sure, some stuff needs work, but as it stands it is far from terminal and I have absolute faith that DICE will make good on our honest feedback between now and full release. Recoil is already being addressed per the latest blog post so I think we’ll be in a pretty good place in October. SMG’s need a looking at 100% as they currently perform similar to an AR and maybe the AK which can be reduced to essentially 0 felt recoil with the right setup. 

My wish list:

• SMAW, Carl G, any sort of western unguided launcher for NATO. Far from a deal breaker but I’ll be a bit miffed if these aren’t coming in the full release. 
• Better vehicle handling across the board, I’m not sure why we can’t rotate on the spot given every heavy vehicle is tracked. Can get janky quickly in the street maps.
• Expanded comm rose (I need support, thank you etc.)
