Some feedback from a person with 5000+ hours on all BFs
Hello all,
Just some random thoughts on BF6 and the BETA. First off, congrats to the team on a great start. One of the best BF BETAs in recent memory. Kudos for that. Just some honest feedback below.
UI
- Needs a lot of improvement. BF1 and BFV had excellent UI menus. More options regarding aiming sensitivity with different scope magnifications. Maybe some setting migrations from BFV or BF2042?
- Deadzone options, turning acceleration off/on. Basically just copy what you did on BFV/BF1. If it's not broken, don't fix it.
- Controller mapping needs to be more streamlined.
- When exiting a submenu, return to same point. Not start of menu.
- A side pane showing Video or details on what these settings affect would be nice.
- Class selection at beginning of match needs to be improved, started several matches with the wrong class even though i pressed X on the class. Maybe highlight selections after locking in.
- Change ALTERNATIVE to VETERAN naming scheme.
- Remap buttons often do not appear in the blank space even after change.
Gameplay:
- Lock on in 3rd person plane (reverse) - should be patched out.
- Friendly/enemy footsteps...... Differentiate? Volume?
- More splash damage with tank main canon - maybe using a different type of round ala BF3/BF4.
- 3rd person aim not as accurate as 1st person aiming in vehicles - When switching between views, the crosshair is not in the same exact point (slightly below or above).
- Attack choppers need to be slightly more nimble/responsive ala Bf3/Bf4.
- Slightly more recoil - Just slightly. Don't over do it. Maybe 5 to 10%.
- Chopper rotors frozen on PS5 Pro.
- Getting stuck on small rocks.
- Shotgun broken (pretty obvious)
- Sniper glint reduction, bullet trail.
- Health regen needs to be slightly slowed down. (5 to 10%) or based on perk.
- Defib accuracy needs to be improved, aiming slightly off center does not revive.
- A lot of slowdown happens when getting shot at by ITV.
- Destruction of some buildings should not be a two shot. One shot is enough especially with an RPG. Maybe two shot with grenade launcher.
- Tank main canon vertical angle improved? Maybe another 5 to 10 degrees?
- Second seat turret should not be able to rotate with such speed. (Mouse keyboard)
Social
- Lack of social aspects to the game. Platoon/Clan management. Clan tags and emblem design.
