The curse of the control point C

I have a few things to say about the maps - from the overall size being faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar too small in how close are control points to each other, through the lacking verticality, to the lane approach in design, or how cramped every point is. And all of these problems are the best illustrated by the C point problem.

When you look at any map, every C point always sees all of these problems accumulating. Tight approach lanes turn chokepoints into mini Locker or Metro problem - spam, spray, and pray. Flanking routes are very limited, (or like in Liberation - not-existent), making the Metro-light clusterf all that more pronounced. Cramped space on all Cs make vehicles a non-factor. Vehs are essentially a poor's man artillery in BF6, not an asset helping to break the defenders through the armored presence on the actual point. And the verticality... oh boy, the verticality. Where is it? I mean, why can't I climb the roof in Cairo and overwatch my team rushing C from above? Why every map is a street level ordeal?

And there isnt even a point (hehe) in taking C more often than not, since all that effort will be lost in the next 2 minutes, since the zerg from the opposing team will be there in a moment.

This turns all C points to an absolute chore to play around. Iberian is the most notorious - if you're not an Assault with a shotgun, you will absolutely hate this place. Cairo is probably the best of the map we got, but not nearly as good as it could be.

Now take a look at the best maps BF has ever created - Caspian, or Firestorm. Or Ballroom Blitz. For an urban setting CQC - Karkaand. All of these allow for the mix of vehs and infatry to play their roles, and each could play from a variety of ranges and elevation. Every point had multiple ways to solve every problem. And there was plenty of between points engagements to break the monotony of the "turn the point blue in a rotation" loop.

Please, can we have this design philosophy back DICE?
