Vehicles should function more like BFV
In BFV, it felt like hunting down a beast tormenting your team, sure, your long range bazooka to the hull didn't really do anything more than maybe make them back off a bit, but if you carefully positioned and aimed correctly, that same rocket could all of a sudden disable the tanks tracks, turret, or engine. The supports (who repaired in that game) could still repair the tank back to 100% hp, but if you wanted those vehicle systems fixed, you'd need to back up into safety and fix it from the inside by holding X without being interrupted by damage taken.
This system was so vastly more nuanced and made it more fun than how it is now. The tanks in BF6 now are either useless or OP, all depending on how many people in your team want to lie on top of you and hold lmb with the repair torch. And judging by my experience in BF3 often the entire match balance came down to whether any people in your team were interested in performing this mundane task, the novelty wears off and people would rather be shooting other people.
The health system for the vehicles in BFV fixed this as even if you didn't have people repairing you, you could back off and repair it yourself from the inside, but only up to a certain limit. As the more damage you've been taking, the less potential max HP you'll have unless someone repairs you with a torch or you fully resupply at a vehicle supply station.
The glancing shots and weak-spots on vehicles also made you be more engaged in the actual 1v1 tank fights, where the way you position and rotate your hull, and the way you managed to aim your shots made the fight interesting, instead of whoever doesn't have a clown car of engineers with repair torches and RPGs pop out in an instant loses. Which brings me to the point that there really needs to be entry/exit animations to vehicles to prevent this car clown scenario that loses it's charm veeery quickly. As well as prevents pilots from bailing instantly as they're about to die. Or prevents secondary gunner to safely jump out and kill you as you're repair torching the enemy tank or placing C4 or whatever as there's not really any superior strategic play and more just a weird janky fight
