Weekend One Thoughts At Lvl 20 and All Complete Challenges

I'm prepared to be downvoted into not being able to post anymore but here are my thoughts. Played on a 4070 ti all highest settings, no frame gen, DLSS Quality, 110+ FPS the whole time. 500+gb internet. Also, some PS5 matches.

TLDR: Great beta event, still needs work. Still won't buy before launch.

First, things I think they should sustain.

  • Open and closed weapon modes but at an even amount not what they did here.
  • Visuals, although mine did quite fuzzy at times.
  • The visceral experience.
  • Style of the game design. I never want them to include things from the future.
  • Destruction
  • Shotguns they are excellent. I know it is OP, but it should be. It feels like a shotgun.

Things I think need improving

  • Pistols need a buff for sure.
  • I don't know if it is a bug or not but you can't unbind gadgets. I could have sworn on day one I could have.
  • Carbine, Shotguns, and DMR's have no class alignment which is kinda cheeks.
  • Carbines SUCK. They need a buff to handling and or damage.
  • The fact that when I see an enemy a giant triangle goes above them. It ruins the skill in spotting people and half the time you can just aim for that even if they are in smoke or something. It's lame.
  • Map rotation. If I joined a playlist I got the same map until I quite to menu and re-joined a playlist.
  • I understand these are some of the smaller maps (allegedly), but I never went 30 seconds without being involved in something. The pace is way faster than in previous games.

Things I suspect but can't prove

  • I feel like there is no scope kick when shooting at snipers. Many times I have been shooting them and getting hit marks, and they just one-tap me in the head.
  • DFIB range for revives kinda suck, and I wish there were some positive feedback when it's successful, as I just want to turn and burn onto the next guy, only to find out I wasn't close enough or something.
  • People are hacking/cheating already.
  • I played far too many one-sided games and not many really close ones. It was weird. This is more just an observation.

Bugs/Betaisms

  • An attachment scrub. Some attachments cost more but didn't improve anything. Some attachments didn't have any effect on anything.
  • I got a weird black and white kaleidoscope effect sometimes.
  • I spawned under the map sometimes.
  • There was a glitch where I could not change around attachments in a match and had to quite to menu.

Finally, my most annoying thing from the beta. This is not a skillgap issue, I played this beta very well but ...

I noticed that when I died it happened faster than I can blink but on the damage done chart it showed me being hit 5+ times. I know when I was hitting people 5+ times it was way longer than how I died. One glaring example I can think of is when I was shooting a guy in the back with the more powerful LMG. I had 5 hit markers. I died before I killed him to three shotgun hits (according to the damage meter) but it was one frame for me. This example is far from the exception and not all as glaring but still a very common situation.
