Why use frontside only to exit the tank to repair it?

Not mentioning this task *3000 repair points is absolute torture to complete.

Like 1st day ever players just pushing full throttle every time you leave the tank to repair it or going outside of the map to kill everyone inside or just go straight to the enemy crowd with rpg to be annihilated/ I can somehow get it - it's newbies (some of them twitch streamers btw etc)
But
Please tell me why every time when I need to exit vehicle- my character decides to exit in front of the tank often that is hit already.
It's either 1vs 1 tank battle you spawn in between instead of backside of vehicle (or at least side of your tank) or a bunch of guys with rpg and in both situation you as engineer is dead before getting repair to your tank. (not mentioning enemy troops around because it's normal and ok)

The only safe way to do it just to run behind the tank either way it's a Russian roulette just to exit the friendly vehicle. Almost certain death. I dunno why it's done that way but even in bf1 with epic exiting animations you could understand from where you going to exit and in many times it's backdoor or side one vehicle

But here we are with only front exit in order to repair your mate's tank / or just have to follow the tank like an idiot running with torch across battlefield just to help your tank.

I ask to change this ASAP as the almost the worst achievement even if it seems to be simple.
Thanks to pros and bf vets players who knew how to play tank and how help their teammates to complete this torture.

Moreover, I don't know either it's a bug or no just my low skill here but I tried to use this new mechanics when you can auto repair from inside the tank with l1+r1 but it never worked nor for me as tank driver not as it's support.
It usually becomes green from the start of the spawn when you 100 % and not damage and not working later when you hit.
Maybe it's good to be bugged to help players with repairs task but kinda strange, because even when I was alone and no engineers behind I still cannot repair my tank with this perk.

Anyway, thanks for the experience it was challenging but doable and game very fun overall.

Who support me with exit vehicle problem please comment.

I agree it's so stupid that it kicks us out the front of the tank every time. It should kick us out the back or give us a choice with direction buttons are joystick depending on how you play. It's a really stupid way of doing it

Landing occurs from the direction the tank's turret is facing. The same goes for the assistant; you land from the direction you're facing.

  • I was so confused and frustrated when I found out that you can only exit from the font.  Like, why, when I am inside a tank or light tank, do I appear right in front of it, in the line of fire when I exit? Hopefully that is fixed quickly. It doesn't seem to matter what seat I am in. It is always right in front, with no opportunity to fall back to cover.

  • I also am finding this very frustrating, this needs to be changed in some way. Allow us to decide the side we get out somehow or either just default it to the rear of the vehicle.

  • I'm not 100% sure on this, since I don't use tanks that much. The turrets and driver might function differently from my experience as a passenger.

IFVs seem to place passenger players on the ends where the tank are not moving. If the tank is moving backwards, it places players forwards. If the tank is moving forwards, it places players to the sides. I'm not sure if it places players at the rear? It's kind of strange. IFVs have a door at the rear of the vehicle. They should probably have passengers exit from the sides while backing up or the rear while pulling forward.

The drivers of tanks, especially MBTs, should probably use the sides as exits, with the front as a last resort, since the drivers usually have a hatch for themselves up at the front of the vehicle. That makes sense to have drivers exit at the front. It's just everybody else that is odd in my opinion.

You exit the direction your camera is facing. It's not very intuitive to turn your camera around just to exit through the back, but it's definitely possible.
