Re: "Authentication Failed" Error – Can’t Access Battlefield 6

So, apparently, the authentication failure message that some of us get when trying to log in basically means you’ve been banned.

This ban doesn’t show up in your penalty history — you can only see it in your account data file. I did absolutely nothing besides trying to record my gameplay. EA Support is also doing nothing with the cases about it.

No way to resolve it, no meaningful information, nothing. Posting this in the hope that some EA staff will see it, and to give everyone else with the same issue at least some clarity on what’s going on.

From the programs, I can say with confidence that only the RTSS Riva tuner statistical server was running. Maybe because of her?

Can confirm. Just seen the same thing. Mine says “competitive advantage” only thing it can be is either MSI afterburner running in the background for my temperature monitoring or razer synapse cause those are the only two things I ever have running in the background while gaming. Verified by checking my ea account data files and the fact I made a new bs account and loaded me right into the game and played with no issues on new account. Filed and appeal and HOPEFULLY they become aware of this bs.

    the above poster   ^^

this response right here is correct, same thing, no penalty in account but one shows up on your EA data if you download it.

apparently mine got applied when i tried to log into the early access period (i had redeemed a twitch code) on the 7th. never even got to

login at all. just error at queue time. but somehow the reason in the EA data is "competetive_advantage" i guess redeeming early access code from twich it considered a competetive advantage. so this basically has made everyone else with this same error code miss the entire Beta. great. leave it to EA to mess up something that looked like a good thing.

same **bleep** for me. it worked fine in the early access beta and i grinded quite alot. but i get this error since the normal beta released. nothing open besides opera discord cam(nzxt program to monitor) guess its a false flag for early access accs
