Player Feedback | Launch Weekend

BEWARE WALL OF TEXT 

I have been playing Battlefield since i was a kid, now 21 years later i do want to give Feedback for the First time since. So i Hope i can write this as precise as it is important to me ! 

Please discuss and give Feedback, i am Just a Humble Player, If you dont agree or I do "Just dont get it", Help me understand :)

Sound

The one thing that is Not to my linking about Sound and communication ist the Lack of VOIP communication on the Battlefield. Now i know, i really know, how nasty gamers tend to be in Voice chat. But not implementing it cant be the solution to the toxic behaviour of some. We are killing virtual soldiers every 5 to 10 Seconds so why the fuzz about occasional swearing. The "Bad Apples" can Just be muted IF there was a simple and Clean ingame UI for that :) 

Sometimes the Lack of voice Chat on the Battlefield is all that is needed to be fully immersed. And i have never been as Close as with Battlefield 6 with any other 2D Game i have played. Its the Feature that could Turn many of peoples evenings from a "good" to an "outstanding" gaming experience. Even If Just implemented for Community Servers or Specialized modes.

Other than that Athmosphere is Out of this world and the Options to customize the experience are plenty. If there are Problems i didnt notice any using stereo Headphones and loudspeakers on my end. Party Chat and ingame Sound Position also worked at all times.

Loved the wartapes Mode and how Clean footsteps can be Heard in comparison to the Beta. Also the amount of Intel you can get by Just stopping your own movements and Listening to your surroundings for a Brief Moment in a Close Quarter Situation felt really rewarding and added a lot of fun to my General gameplay.

This tied in perfectly with Last Minute Changes to

Movement/Gunplay

The slowed movement and changed recoil mechanics paired nicely with the refined tactical Sound and and felt very polished. So polished in fact that i found myself using the lean Peak system regularly for the First time ever in the Battlefield series. It felt like a real edge with the Changes to recoil and or Spray. As it should be.

Still i found myself in fast paced gameplay If i wanted to but i feel Like i, strategically , didnt have the choice to Play slow in the Open Beta. Because Bring cautious didnt give me any positives compared to running around SMG blazing.

Small Bugs have all ready been adressed by others in the Community so nothing more to say than great Job Team!

Maps/Flow

Gunplay and movement wise it is technically possible to have tactical and so so sooo rewarding gameplay Highlights that really feel fair Most of the times. But the Map borders and Lack of flanking opportunitys kept me from having those at almost all times. Especially Maps Like new sobek City feel like they never even Had Balance Testing. Why is only one Side getting helicopters in a Map with 10000 skyscraper Spawn nests?  Now i Love encouraging tactical ladder gameplay but i aint as fast as them parachute Troopers. This was a real issuse for me and the people i know in Conquest and Rush/Breaktrhough alike.

Dont get me wrong all Maps are beautiful and the best we got in modern gaming but Layout and destruction wise they didnt add to gameplay. Not bigger destruction is needed but more nuanced possiblities for infantry to Open new and previously blocked Paths with Explosives or the sledgehammer. There was a Lack of exploring and having that wow Moment we all Play Games for :)

Lets Take sobek City again. A whole skyscraper Made of brick walls and i cant destroy any of them? No access to certain balconies or breaking Open a flank onto site while enemies hide behind covering the Objective? I know Theres a certain flow you Guys want to achieve but the amount of tactical rewarding destruction as an infantry Player is next to none. All Maps felt Just a little to thight. Flow over Fun in a non conpetitive envoirment might Not be the best course of actions. Fits for Things Like Battle royal tho!

The amount of Action the Map sizes raised was excellent but Just a little more Paths through planned destruction would be a Game changer without touching on the heated Athmosphere that bf6 ist aiming for. Not only improving on gameplay but also on Teamplay, Sense of Wonder and one of the main selling points of the Game. Destruction.

Right now. I think all of them need a little Revision to add to the otherwise outstanding core gameplay.

Also i need to add that the Expansion onto the Portal Features and the Integration of Godot Made me buy your Product in the end. Great steps in the right Direction for the Franchise !

TL:DR

Battlefield 6 ist excellent but Not outstanding. Rewarding tactical gameplay is often Not possible due to Limits to Map sizes/Layout and destruction. Given some continued Work and Bold Changes i could Imagine myself playing and investing in the Game for years to come. Also a Performance beast with stunning visuals and Sound.

Theres Lots more i want to talk about but None of that is as important to me. Hope some devs might read this and give Feedback eventually.
