Ability to disable in-game progression notifications?

Why can't we disable the in-game notifications? I don't want to be bombarded with things popping up on my screen for challenges and other progression garbage that I don't care about. I just want to play the game without things distracting me and breaking immersion. We need an option to disable the notifications.

I'm hoping that Dice will add this functionality in the future. The level of notifications is just too much a lot of the time, although I do appreciate that it doesn't annoy everyone as much as it does me.
