About Pro Pass Player Being Able to Invite 1 Free Player to Game Content
Hello everyone,
As a Battlefield player, I'd like to share an idea here regarding a potential squad mechanism for the Pro Pass. I hope this can be part of a community discussion, and I welcome different perspectives.
Overview of the Suggestion
Would it be possible to consider the following:
Allow Pro Pass holders, during each season, to invite 1 free player to join them in squads and experience the core game modes and base maps together.
This permission would only be active under the following conditions:
• Limited to 1 free player per Pro Pass holder.
• Only active when playing in the same squad as the Pro Pass holder.
• The free player cannot access base content alone.
• The permission resets at the end of each season.
In essence, this is more of a "shared experience" mechanism rather than a free content unlock.
Potential Benefits I See
Enhances the Perceived Value of the Pro Pass
The Pro Pass becomes more than just "unlocking content"—it grants the ability to share the experience with friends. This social value could increase player appreciation for the seasonal Pro Pass.
A More Natural Way to Convert New Players
Experiencing the full gameplay in real matches, alongside friends, is more likely to convert free players into long-term players compared to time-limited trials or promotional events.
Could Improve Server Population and Match Quality
More real players in core modes could have a positive impact on the overall match experience.
Helps Alleviate Community Division Over Paid Content
Friends won't be completely separated based on whether they own the Pass or not, potentially fostering a healthier community atmosphere.
Potential Concerns (Worth Discussing Together)
• Could it reduce the urgency for some players to purchase the Pass?
• Server load pressure.
• Clarity of the boundary between Pro and base content.
However, I personally believe that with strict limits on numbers and conditions, these risks are relatively controllable. It seems worth exploring as a potential direction.
The above is just an idea from a player's perspective, not a demand or complaint.
I'm also very interested to hear other players' opinions, or whether the developers might consider such a mechanism feasible from a design standpoint.
Thank you for reading, and thank you to the development team for your ongoing efforts.
