Accidentally changing classes during death/map screen.

Thanks! I'll try to remember that. I'm at a point where when I am on the map screen I move my left hand off the keyboard entirely and then I try to pick what i want. Hit go. And then wait to push forward.
The problem is when you are in the zone. In the flow state, and are having fun is when this all goes out the window and you try to get back in to the match to help fix your friends tank and instead nope you're now a Support.  Or you get back in there quickly to res everybody up and they are like "Yo get me up!" and you pull up that sniper beacon thingy.  

It's rough.

This needs to be fixed, I changed classes over 5 times in a single game by mistake because of that.

Yes please fix this.  It's super annoying!

One band-aid fix while waiting for a real fix is just to press Y and change class if you notice it before shooting or running too far.  But usually you only notice it when you start shooting and find out you have a pea-shooter instead of an assault rifle or whatever.

It's starting to feel "Show stopper" to me. My friend who is WASD does this about twice per match himself.  

Something is up because I'm starting to form habits of moving my left hand off of the keyboard entirely and picking my Class but then i come back to the map screen and its already moved to a different class! 

I'm thinking it could be multiple things causing this, but one of them i think might be that you pick your character and load in and press E to run forward and sometimes, not always, but sometimes in that window its actually queing up menu E presses to change class - you've already changed class for the next time you died and don't even know it.  Then when you die this is why you are on another class at the map screen.  Have a look and eventually you'll probably see this. You were running around as X. You die. Go to map. Make sure you don't touch the keyboard at all. And its already moved over to another class.

It's getting insanely frustrating.  Like crazy  frustrating. When I play Engineer and it moves me to Support it isn't too bad but going from Support to a Sniper is brutal. The best i can do is give the sniper the carbine I use and try to be useful for a minute before going back to the map. My friend always like "Why did you die! i was going to res you!"  "wrong class again."

This plus some other bugs and issues have made things pretty bothersome for playing.  

totally same problem!  I keep spawning in as a class that I don't use, and then I have to respawn and lose a life -- just because keybinds are hard coded and unchangeable for this.  Remove this completely.  It's not as if some people are playing without a mouse!!  We can click the one we want. 

Super annoying. Hope they fix it soon 

same here, I use EDAF and am also constantly changing classes on accident. there's an option for just about every other key binding, why not this? I'd even settle for editing configs at this point, or to disable this.

100 percent also use esdf this is the most frustrating thing in the world, I change classes multiple times a game by mistake. Not having an option to rebind this is crazy
