  • They can go back to COD then.  They have 'some' valid points, but a little over dramatic.  I have confidence the game will get much better, all battlefields struggle the first 6 months unfortunately.

Takes about a year to get fully polished and fixed.  I personally like Blackwell Fields, I don't know what everyone is on about with that map.  A few things could be tweaked on it, but overall I like it a lot.

Sadly all the COD babies left, and they are complaining about BO7 also.  You can't please everyone, having said that BF needs to get back to bigger maps and better vehicle play, Especially heli's and jets.

  • If they don’t fix the net code / hit reg / desync issues that many people have, including me sadly, they will lose a lot more players.   The game is unplayable for well over 50% of games.  It is ridiculous that this doesn’t have priority.

you'll still lose games until they verifiy peoples identities.  and it doesn't matter what online game you play brother.  we been living in a facade for 20 years every since the community lost the ability to hose their own servers and tournaments.  Because its considered immoral to ban players too good from your server.  To the point they will let kids murder your server offline.   What you call net code,  hit reg and desync issues.  I call cheating...lmao.

Casual Breakthrough needs to be restricted to those less that 1KD. All that happens is you get sweats in their farming the noobs

Bring back Battlefield 3 with better graphics, bigger maps, less spawns on things like Conquest where you can be completely camped in, and fix the desync issues/performance issues that seem to plague the majority of the community.

the only issue though brother,  is that people just keep making new accounts with money to burn.  They get a thrill out of ruining competitive matchups and fair play for others.  Nothing can be done unless they verify identities first.  nothing.  its been going on for over 20 years in all of gaming.  And the game companies feel,  that as long as they are not using a detected cheat engine,  its immoral to ban them.  lol  So they literally throw their customers like sheep to wolves,  and victim blame if they speak up for themselves.  Much like what is happening in real life society right now.  We've let it go on for too long.

It gets worse too when you have a free to play battle royal which essentially gives the hardware to cheat devs to crack their anti cheat.  Unless ea and dice are on top of it constantly updating and catching new cheats then this game will be dead with in a year.  The lack of content too few guns compared to previous bf titles and **bleep** maps.  Blackwell oilfields is a terrible map and eastwood is meh.  That is not what i would call a seasonal content.

    There are many factors:

Back n forth / making same mistakes twice or more issue.

They went backwards / fix stuff that was broken and break what was working  / possible use of AI and lack of document / tracking their bugs and fixes:

Main was beta felt better than any of the FPS at the time, and even it wasn't polished, it gave an experience that was great.

When it was released, the game had that same but feel but after some patches, things got broken. They tried to nerf movement but broke weapons (bloom issue) range, bloom etc,

Beta did suffer from hit reg and netcode, but it wasn't bad as few patches after release. but a possibility is in trying to fix the time to kill, they might have busted that.

Then netcode / hit reg was bad . . . But it least it wasn't unfixable / game engine fundamentally broken like Xdefiant was, but still weird that beta had better hit reg / netcode than release.

They were all about providing a grounded experience, even poking fun at COD, and its celebrity / top streamer love.
Then season one, they have TOm Cruise as headliner, Then monster energy skins, and small game modes, and maps not well thought out / planned out.

Like the Season 1 came out, it broke tons of stuff.

Possibly they are using AI? And not tracking / documenting their game? This stuff like they broke the firing range or menu selection when it previously worked while tryinkg to fix stuff like net code / hit geg

Other issues is they are combining previous versions of games where certain features worked with other ones with different certain features working but lose track / the bugs / issues with those versions carry over.

Or portal. 2042 had a good example of bots for those who like PVE for its solo / coop and portal. And BF 6 started but the devs pulled back instead of figuring out how to keep the bots / pve with progression and limit servers or make official PVE modes like 2042.

That ticket count fiasco was another problem. Or how winter break with breakthrough, like they give attackers 4 tanks / IFVs and wonder why attackers steam roll, then they think, oh let's make tons of engineering challenges to get more people to play engineers on defense but to take down 4 tanks / IFVs, need 2 squad of elite engineers and supply running around with them to do so.

Bad decisions / We'll give you X mode but with game breaking caveats.

Like breakthough initiation, people liked it, there was bots and newbies gave it easy play, and you could figure out the game, problem is then you had level 100 people in it and they farmed people.

Part of that was the gun grind was much harder than past BFs and getting kills in MP was barely scratching the surface, hence the XP grind servers clogging portal on release, so people were going to initiation.

They put limit on it, and then introduce break through casual. Problem is cheaters keep showing up.

It's works 60% of the time, all the time. BF ran ad campaign in which they got cheaters so only 2% chance in games, but no hard numbers / exact game modes. I used to run in BO 6  but left cuz it was crazy, casual lobbies had 75% is running some cheats with 80-90+ % on ranked or warzone.

I kept noticing certain players would go in and get dozens of kills (bots) and target players first, and they had all limb shots (more blatant ones ran with head shots), or I'd go for a flank (worked nice on conquest / normal breakthrough), and they'd be in middle of shooting bots / players, then turn to drill me.

In frozen modes, conquest, one game, every death I had, was starting with a head shot. Other times, they had guys pre nading areas I was walking into (wallz) with 3-4 red glowing reds flying as I entered in to a hall near B. Or I'm hiding and someone runs to the right angle, head shot , or the 3-4x arm hit (less blatant aim bot), or the guy with scoped pistol hitting me from 110 meters with a clean head shot. Or one game

    Lack of sense of direction:

ANother main issue is BF lost what it is to be BF. If you take Battlebit, it wasn't much of a game but they had the BF formulat to a tee and they that game did BF better than 2042, Dice / EA was lucky the Battlebit devs got greedy and lazy, and broke their game, and had toxic community peeps as leaders / admins gutted that game / community (more on community loss).

This was shown with the closed weapons vs open weapons. THey went with both, ok that can work. But what about game modes, instead of fleshing out basic BF modes, they went all out on BR and small map infantry only modes.

Look at how many modes on season 1, we have, instead of fixing vehicles and brining more big maps, and the face punch the fan base, BR got the new big map that would make a really great conquest map.

COD-ification. Cod-ify the game. Basically taking a look at COD MW II  III reboot and Black ops 6 and 7, and trying to turn the game in that direction, and following current COD's drive towards Fortnite

2042 had this big issues and aside from it being broken for a great length of it's life style, but they incorporated stuff like armor plates, slides and dives etc, movement was king over aiming and precision.

Stuff like twitch drops, the monster energy fiasco, the AI shark mouth helmet / face designs etc . . . also was like what? The California thing with the brass version of COD's Golden Gun??? skin.

Huge problem with this because COD drew people in with nostalgia for its great golden era games, and they evolved to a certain feel, which was different than majority of BF

Alot of people got mad BF 6 went to BF and they went full hard core to BR / Red Sec to try to steal Warzone player base, instead of fixing the game and coming out with big conquest style maps, and fixing all the issues (hit reg / net code, vehicles )

But the problem is Warzone players got mad at the tanks and instant kill by the fire. In those forced streams of twitch players (guy was otter), for skins literaly hundreds of chat asking why there are tanks and tanks suck because teams that can have and keep tanks (they called IFV tanks too) alive usually are top finishers. And they couldn't get past that, They kept saying warzone has no tanks and you can live for bit in the gas, and many said warzone was better.

The other flip side of this is all the new stuff was small map modes, small engagements, all the variants of infantry only small map action with all COD MW III type modes, instead of big maps like BF 1 and tons of vehicles . . .

And devs taking really long time to fix broken (like the IFV missile) vehicles and instead focusing on BR / small map infantry only game modes was a huge tell.

Weapons meta / attachment meta: COD had this issue but I think it was deliberate as weapons had flavor of the month, and the meta weapons gave a serious advantage, and with certain attachments were just OP compared to others.  BF had this (hip fire and the SMG meta), and COD was using it to sell new weapons  / skins / attachments, but having 1000 attachments and guns. And strange was the top streams somehow knew what was meta, day one when the patches dropped (and meta changed to something, else and the COD store offering a buy for that weapon / attachments)

Lack of community engagement. Sever browser did play a big role , and given how servers today operated vs back then in BF 3-4 / BC days it is hard to track since now there are more automation / virtualization and resource management is more critical, which makes having a search engine to track all the modes / games / hosts etc difficult.

But having a space where groups of players could get together and jump and play as group is lacking. The other part is the limit of the size of groups. It would be nice to have a larger group than four join in on one side and set up the match making so even though. THey used to have groups that could set up their own server with say conquest and have their guild / clan / team / group join and play it was huge.

Portal is a mess. On one point verified modes need players for the bot experience and grant limited XP on the bots killed, but then people that know how to code can make full on bot servers with full MP style XP.

Instead of realizing what fans want (some want that 2042 PVE experience), or solutions that the improved late game 2042 found out, BF 6 goes in weird directions, like no PVE modes with verified standard game modes, and one has code a custom experience for PVE experience.

And next patch will probably nerf it too.

The devs know what worked as they did well with the BEta and promise to return. They have access to all the old titles and what worked for them, and to tweak it, but the problem is chasing COD.

Same issue happened with RPG's. Core of that is good story, good game play, good progression, great world building, and npcs and interactions that felt real. And part of the plot was saving the world in some form, and laying down so one felt it was meaning and the player was making a difference and saving the world . . .

PRoblem is most RPG's went into MMORPG, or monetization or gatcha, with lifeless worlds, metas and complicated / felt like a second job, and not fun to play and gameplay is wonky at best . . .   and they were more about agendas and side stories with no meaning instead of having meaning to play and saving something awesome. THey had bland characters  and worlds meshed together from games that sold tons of copies but missed what heart of those games did to sell those copies

Then balder's gate 3 came out and shocked the world. Then  this french game did same (Clair 33), because it had story, a world to draw one in, something meaningful to work for and save, great game play and mechanics, and just hit it out of the park.

BF 6 beta and initial release did that and hopefully they can course correct.
