Aim Guided Munitions

It’s WAY past time for BF6 to eliminate the operator aim guided munitions for the M1A1 Abrams or the MBT. This weapon does not exist in real life and has no business being in the game. It allows unrealistic targeting of aircraft and insane non point of sight kills. If they still feel a need for AA then buff the tank, or create a range around the AA tank that allows shoulder fire weapons to be faster lock on using the tank to increase nearby weapons lock on due to its onboard radar. If it’s not real it doesn’t belong in the game. This isn’t COD.  If you want to help tanks then increase the radar jam rate, just adding a fake weapon isn’t the answer either way.

  • jjwuwu333​ I agree so end of season 1 I submitted a Bug Report voicing this Issue, Main Battle Tanks do not have a Tow Launcher, IRL they do not exist, yet the secondary Ammo selection is not available for use , this needs to be fixed!

    jjwuwu333​ I agree so end of season 1 I submitted a Bug Report voicing this Issue, Main Battle Tanks do not have a Tow Launcher, IRL they do not exist, yet the secondary Ammo selection is not available for use , this needs to be fixed!

    Thanks for reporting it! If enough of us report these issues they will or should remedy them.  These vehicles also work together IRL so having only one AA tank available at a time means the other tanks are vulnerable to air to ground attacks. So they could eliminate the operator aim guided and just add more AA tanks at one time. Honestly the jets have no place in the game. While air to ground support is effective IRL the planes used aren’t typically the ones used for this purpose. A-10 warthog and a C130 gunship would make more sense. I think they should be added.

    Honestly I understand why the Jets are there, and I agree with you about the AA Guns, I know many players complain about the AA Gun being overpowered but the Jets/Helicopters flares reload very fast and they can duck under the radar zone which in my opinion ( and $7 bucks will get you a coffee) is too high.  This is why most engineers carry ATM's instead of AA Launchers, time to lock on target is much too long.

  • Agreed, tanks hardly ever do their job—pushing and getting the objective—when a map with aircraft appears.

    Technically the m1 Abram’s and Leo’s don’t have this but Russian T series and some Chinese mbt’s do America/germany did have one mbt called xm803/mbt70 that was capable of also shooting missiles out it’s barrel so their not really fake just that M1’s and Leo’s don’t have this capability.I mean bf6 could easily replace the missile for m1 and Leo with a heat shell that have proximity fuse/timed fuse that are meant to take down plane/helis called M830A1 and DM11

    1068315​ Yes these were experimental MBT's and terminated because of the Tow/Shell incompatibility this is why there are no MBT's in any Military (Russia T-80/T-90/T-14 Armata) (China T-99) (USA M1 Abrams using M1 SEPv3 /SEPv4 variants) that have Tow capability out of the Tube, hence IFV's do but this was just a topic from a actual Military perspective.

    Instead Dice should alternate between AP and HEAT with TOW for the IFV's and the AAA (Air Defense Artillery) or MAA (Mobile Air Defense) I believe is similar (at least in Looks to the German Gepard) is correct with Ammo.

    Also t14 armata/t99 do use missiles fired from the barrel all these tanks I listed fire missiles from the barrel btw if that wasn’t clear
