Air Gameplay needs some TCL

Dice needs to do some serious gameplay adjustments across the board to make air gameplay feel viable and balanced.  After the previous adjustments to tows, I thought they were headed in the right direction, then came this update.

Before the update, they nerfed the attack helis tow speed along with the other tows, which was fine since the others got nerfed too. but then, with this update, they re-increased the speed of the other tows but left the attack helis tow slow! So now only the heli tow is slow. Also they buffed the shoulder tow to do 1000 damage so every engineer can throw tows around that 1 shot.

They nerfed the heavy rocket splash damage. Those didn’t need any adjustments and no one was asking for that.

 RPG is still crazy fast and accurate.

And now the CRAM will shoot across the map. Meanwhile we still have laser designators that can magically designate multiple targets and keep them designated even without the player actively designating them.

the overall experience is horrendous. You get locked on to immediately in spawn. If you venture out, you have to contend with lightning fast and accurate RPGs, ridiculous tow spam, constant designation and lock ons, CRAM that shoots you anywhere on the map, and a weakened arsenal.

oh yeah, maps are too small. Maybe all this AA would be more tolerable if the maps were bigger and there was a place to back off to. But no, gotta keep those maps small to increase the player interactions per minute metric that they are clearly chasing.

the aircraft need some love, but I realize they they can’t be too powerful. I think the best place for increasing the air vehicle vulnerability would be the flare system. Right now they don’t last long but have a fast regen time, allowing aircraft to get back into the fight quickly. Perhaps they should make the flares last longer but take more time to reload. Make it riskier for an aircraft to stay out in the middle
