Alright Here goes nothing

I am almost certain I am going to get some sort of flak for this but a few quality of life improvements just for game play that would be very much so appreciated at least by me and who knows who else is player control.

While we can tech report someone for typing in the chat like its tedious to do it one by one if its say like 80 people. Also there used to be a way where you could ask for a team vote to kick someone who was being abusive or just not playing the game "legally" I would really like to see that feature added back in.

I've been a player of battlefield and other shooters long enough to know your gonna hear **bleep** but like if its an entire game on conquest non stop there has to be a way to make that game playable rather than people having to just leave.

Among other things it would allow players to try and help keep each other in check esp on the typing side of things let alone spirit of the game qualities.

Again I know this may not be the most pressing thing for everyone but just a thought.

Anyways carry on.

  • A vote to kick would be great.  I know that it gets abused by groups a lot nowadays, but it would also get rid of the 70/4 loser who is clearly cheating.  Or just the toxic poo-lord who rages at his team every time they die.

  • My proposal would be that if something like this was brought in obv you would have a review system and if it was abused than players would lose their right to propose kicking others etc.

In the past there was a way to ensure it wasn't used just to kick good players.

  • Hello djultrapup,

The only way forward is to bring back renting servers like we had in Battlefield 3 or Battlefield 4. The community would organise itself and make functioning servers with vote kick/vote ban and multiple other features that would make the gaming environment more enjoyable.

Quick anecdote: back in the days, I bought whatever the last WW2 COD was called. I got into multiplayer, and got kicked out after being yelled at for about 5 minutes by someone sounding like a 12 year old for sucking too much. Literally my first match.

So while I often would like to kick some people out, I am wary of how this is used by angry mobs.

Players are neither skilled nor smart enough to make vote kick decisions based on cheating. It's 9/10 times a rage vote.

EA needs to do something about the moderation, though. You can currently get flagged and banned for things that aren't offensive, I got banned for a typo that turned "Hardest" into "Jardest" for a week and while I got it appealed, it was still 3 days of frustration. Not to mention I had a perma ban that also got overturned, because I said something about fascists and no doubt all the people living in 1939 mass reported me.

Meanwhile racists, homophobes, misogynists and the entire chud club gets to run rampant while the moderation returns no action was taken lol.

People can spell out the n word with other players typing in a letter each.

  • So I actually think all of the points being brought up here are good points. There really isn't a clear like this is the only answer option. I agree with the concept of it being used as a weapon or incorrectly and that does worry me. I also however would love to have rented servers brought back. One of my fav things to do was run metro 24/7 back in the day.

Regardless I think the first step in any of these sorts of things is having an open an honest convo about it.
