Are the hd textures worth the performance hit on a base ps5?

I’ve been playing since yesterday on the performance setting and the game is pretty optimized but I did notice a few frame drops here and there. Wondering if I can completely eliminate this by deleting the hd textures or if the game looks bad without them or if the games performance doesn’t change at all?
