Not a fan of the changes they made to classes. Its like they got the message we wanted classes back after the 2042 fiasco, but then decided to throw them in blender and see where the skills/tools landed instead of truly listening and bringing us our BF3/BF4 experience. That said...Assault is pretty much for 1 thing...rushing the objective (I believe they can take bases quicker and are designed to withstand more aggressive combat. Oh, and apparently drop the spawn becon for the party (I've already made a recon rant on this topic). The primary reason I like Assault is that it can carry 2 primary weapons, but overall, I feel like Assault and Recon don't really bring much to the party. In general I feel like all the classes save maybe engineer feel like they are missing something to solidify their identify and enjoyment for me.
This, all of this. Assault is fun but lacks teamwork oriented gadgets. Recon only has spotting left (spawn beacon is gone). Support is a powerhouse that has both ammo, healing, and defibs while missing the fun of C4.
In my opinion, either give back the healing and defibs to Assault, or make a fifth class focused on healing and revert the changes to the Support class. So we would then have Assault, focused on pushing objectives, Support focused on LMG, ammo and C4, Recon focused on spotting and spawn beacon (yes bring it back), Engineer focused on vehicle repair and RPGs, and then a fifth class focused on healing called Medic.
