Auto-spotting is too much

Only recon can auto spot when aiming. Other classes have to paint them. Recon shares its auto spot intel abiity with those near by which I think is fine but I don't like the dots, I rather they paint the characters slightly red or just add their position to the minimap.

I would like to see a better target painting from recon just so that they can be more active (feel more rewarding spotting enemies). I like how if an enemy get shot on the chest and doesn't die, he is slightly flashing red until he recovers. I would like to see recon do that but by painting enemies (not auto targeting by pressing Q)
