[Balance Issue] Breakthrough: new sobek city

On the second sector for new sobek city in Breakthrough.

Defender have significant better edge over attackers with the accessible highgrounds, the amount of games we win defending or loose atacking is through:

  • Easily accessible respawn next to the point
  • High ground advtange for covers
  • The indesctructable high grounds
  • Highground much more easily accessible from defender side almost imposible from attacker side

Attackers who often wants to stay low would not be able to aim upward if they proned.

The capture zone is all open, vulnerable to shots and explosives from the rooftops.

If they are to keep the current zone to not include any building, then close proximity roof tops should be made as easily or at least possible to reach from attacker's side of the map.

If no changes is to be made about the accessiblity of the rooftops, then a few buildings should be included into the zone.

The only time we came close loosing defend on this map, is that attackers had coordinated to go from that one side and gained access to the rooftops via assult ladders and made a very strong effort to keep the highground.

The map feels very imbalaned the pathway to winning is bound and limited to highground adventage with lobsided access.

I completely agree. If this game had full destruction mechanics (like BFBC2), we could have resorted to demolishing all the buildings in New Sobek. However, since destruction is only partial, breaking them actually increases line-of-sight.
It's clearly unbalanced that the defenders can create an overwhelmingly advantageous situation just by placing one player or a deployment beacon.

I get the high ground for defense lines. But high ground for area defense is just too strong.I think defenders should be able to defend from high ground until the attackers reach the sector area.
But, it's ridiculous that attackers are constantly forced to fight on two fronts even after breaking through the defense line.
