Banned without playing. 400h veteran stuck in "Waiting on Studio"
Hi everyone,
I know posting here on the forums won't magically unban my account, but I honestly just need a place to vent. I am completely heartbroken, frustrated, and at a total loss for words.
I have been a die-hard Battlefield fan for as long as I can remember. My account holds Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1, Battlefield V, and Battlefield 2042—every single one of them pre-ordered in their Ultimate Edition. I played each installment religiously right up until the release of the next, and I have never had a single penalty or ban on my account in all these years.
Naturally, I pre-ordered the most expensive Ultimate Edition of Battlefield 6 on day one. Since launch, I’ve put over 400 hours into this game. I’ve built memories, leveled up, and truly cherished my account. Battlefield has been my main game, the one I spent countlessly passionate nights playing with friends.
Then, Season 4 was announced. Excited for the new content, I logged into the game right before the launch of Season 4 just to pre-order the Battle Pass. I bought the pass, stayed in the main menu for a few minutes, and logged off. I didn't play a single match that day. In fact, I hadn't played a single match for almost a week prior to that.
The very next time I tried to log in, I was greeted with a permanent ban for "cheating."
I was utterly speechless. How could a loyal player who has supported this franchise across every generation, with 400+ hours of clean history in BF6, and who just invested more money into the new season, be slapped with a cheat ban when zero matches were even played?
I immediately gathered all my account data (DSAR) to prove my location, login times, and complete lack of match telemetry during that period, and I submitted an official appeal. But my case (#25041345) has now been rotting in "Waiting on Studio" status for nearly a month without a single real update or explanation.
The Season 4 Battle Pass I paid for is currently wasting away. My time, my financial investment, and most importantly, my trust and love for this franchise feel completely trampled on. It is agonizing to be falsely accused of cheating in a game you love and dedicated hundreds of hours to, only to be met with total silence from the automated appeal system.
I don't know if any EA Community Managers will ever read this. I just hope that someone, somewhere in technical support, realizes that innocent, loyal players are getting caught in the crossfire of false positives and ignored for weeks.
Thank you to anyone who took the time to read my rant. See you around, if I ever get my identity as a legitimate soldier back.
