Battlefield 1982 New idea

Hello,

I would like to share an idea for the next Battlefield game: Battlefield 1982.

The setting could revolve around NATO vs the Warsaw Pact during an alternate-history World War III scenario in the 1980s. I believe this could create an incredible campaign and multiplayer experience. A Cold War era Battlefield with a dark and realistic atmosphere would fit the series perfectly. This has been my idea for a couple of years, but someone made a game called 83. But you can do better.

The game should capture the same emotional, dramatic, and gritty tone that made Battlefield 1 so memorable. Instead of following the fast-paced Call of Duty style, it should stay true to Battlefield’s identity with immersive warfare, large-scale battles, tactical gameplay, and a heavier atmosphere.

If done correctly, I truly believe a Battlefield game set in a 1980s World War III scenario could become one of the best entries in the series and even break sales records.

Additionally, Portal mode could include World War I and World War II content alongside the 1980s setting, creating an amazing all-in-one Battlefield experience.
