That's pretty hardcore my friend! Love it lol.
I'm fine with some assist, but I think Dice is catering too aggressively to the ultra-casual crowd. Don't get me wrong, you absolutely need casuals for a bigger game to succeed, but squishing the skill ceiling into oblivion isn't the solution either.
What I think would be fair for assist would be:
- Slow down over target
- Rotational assist with a delay of 75-125ms for switching directions (basically, it shouldn't track an enemies strafing pattern perfectly without any input corrections)
The reduced recoil thing is a joke. It's not harder to control recoil with a controller. Not sure where that myth started, but it's complete nonsense.
Regarding Snap to Target, it makes my stomach turn thinking about as a concept, because it's literally a legal aimbot with a nicer name, but maybe what was available in BF5 would be okay. It was significantly less snappy than what they gave players in 2042.
