This subject keeps coming up but the issue really is teamplay versus playing only with your friends.
I believe developers see this as overall strategy while some players reduce it to just personal preferences.
Good teamplay, of course, is always paramount.
What a load of drivel, if you don't allow friends to play together as a "team" how can you expect complete randoms to work together as a team. I see it from time to time on 2042. You join a server and most of the team is doing their own thing, sniping (and not helping capture objectives) or completing missions for the battlepass.
Without community and friends there is no team play, it's just another FPS for the casual gamer to jump in and out of to satisfy k/d ego.
